Planning our Future Together...

Thank you everyone for your support and the great response! We had about 200 members complete the survey. A very special thanks is due to the members of the Mission Study Committee who organized and coordinated this survey as well as collect vital information from our members. The Committee has compiled the data and created a summary document outlining the results.  Session has approved this summary to be released to the congregation so members can examine and evaluate the results themselves.  You can view now view the results of the survey here: The Session is continuing to meet throughout the summer to address the staffing as well as other related issues. Because of the nature of some of the material that is being discussed, the session felt that it was appropriate to control the flow of information that is currently being evaluated. Any relevant updates as well as the current status of the process will become available as soon as possible. Current Status The session has approved the motion to study the feasibility of hiring 2 positions: 1) The first will be an ordained part-time pastor that will help Jim Moelk in some of his pastoral duties. 2) The second will be a part time Children's Mission Director that will assist with managing the activities of our expanding childrens programs. The personnel committee of session will work with present staff to write job descriptions for these two positions as well as to rework the job descriptions of present staff should these new positions be filled. The financial impact of the new staffing structure is also being closely evaluated to ensure we make the wisest decision both spiritually and financially. The session will meet again on Wed., July 29 to receive and respond to this information. The congregation is asked to pray that all decisions made by session will be to the glory of God and His kingdom.
