Remember that this Saturday, May 10 is our "Second Saturday" project workday at COTC. Work is from 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. We will be working outdoors if weather permits. We need your help!

Next Sunday, May 11, the Kids of the Kingdom will present "We Like Sheep" at 9:30 in the Worship Area.

Habitat Work Week - May 12-16. Please check with Nancy Watters (838-3835) if you are scheduled to work in Erie that week or to sign up.

A group of COTC members and friends will golf at Overlake in Girard every other Sunday at 4:00 beginning on Mother's Day, May 11. Spouses, friends and neighbors are welcome to play--you don't need a partner and you don't have to be a pro! If you have any questions, please call Marilyn Keim at 833-6786.

The COTC Nursery is once again in need of someone to serve as our Primary Caregiver on Sunday mornings. This is a paid position. If you or someone you know may be interested, please contact Laurie Law at 838-8285.

COTC Mission Rummage Sale to be held on May 9 and 10 and 12. Items are now being collected and can be left in the Kitchen Lobby. Proceeds will be used for future mission trip expenses to assist those participating as well as for needed supplies. Help is needed before and during the sale to make this a success! We need cashiers, baggers, loading help, security, organizing and pricing, baking for the bake sale, and concession help. Give as much time as you can whatever days you can. Please call Cheryl Johnson for info or to sign up - 838-3350.

COTC Camp Scholarships are available for children and youth who wish to go to a Christian camp this summer. The scholarship amounts will be based on the number of requests received. Application forms are available in the office and at the Welcome Center. All applications must be submitted NO LATER THAN MAY 18. Camp brochures are available at the church office for Camp Lambec, Westminster Highlands, and WLD Ranch, but the scholarships are not restricted tojust these three programs.

Prayer Shawl Ministry has given its first shawl with the prayer that it will remind all those who receive one of God's presence for healing, guidance, or comfort as needed. (See April's newsletter for details on joining he Prayer Shawl group and/or recommending individuals to receive one of these shawls lovingly made by the COTC family.)

We are once again accepting printer cartridges to recycle. We found another company to buy inkjet, toner cartridges and cell phones! These items may be left in the basket just inside the office door. Proceeds benefit our youth programs.

Serving in Jesus' name: One importnat way that we try to help guests and members feel welcome here at COTC is to offer a hearty greeting as people arrive here each Sunday. We need someone to schedule our greeters. If you can help in this way, please call the church office at 835-5901.

Coming June 16-20, 2008 VBS Power Lab! This is a wonderful opportunity to help our children discover the truth of God's Word and to experience His love. If you are looking for opportunities to serve in Jeus' name, you are invited to be part of VBS this summer! There are a number of ways to get involved: volunteer, sign up your kids (pre-registration starts May 1), financial contribution and prayers. For more information, please contact Shawn Steiner at the church office, 835-5901.
